These demonstrations are from the December 15th, 2008 show. Some of these videos are out of focus and the audio isn't the greatest. Also, I did not have enough battery time to film all of the explanations so some of them are cut off. I tried to focus on filming just the demonstrations. Feel free to ask for explanations if you have questions. These demonstration shows are made possible by the Provost Office and the Dean of Math & Sciences at Wright State University. The demonstrations are preformed by Dr. John Fortman and Dr. Rubin Battino, with help from lab assistants (lead by Kirby Underwood).
Here Dr. Battino and a student lab assistant preform the blue streak demonstration where carbon disulfide and nitrogen dioxide are burn with a blue flame in a long tube.
I would love to know the explanation and to know the mixture of gases used
