On a lighter note! I used to listen to this song over & over on my Grandma's record player in the 60's. Getting old aren't I!! But, I love this country and have a deep respect for anyone who has EVER fought for and defended it, even back to the beginning. Thank you all for the freedom I have today.

AMEN and God bless those whoserve and do serve my g'pa and uncles friends and myself once but i did not go to war. I did have the privelege as a "son of the VFW" to dedicate and do a 21 gun salute at a Vietnam memorial back home. And admit proudly it was an honor!!!

Hollywood did all they could to demonize our fine service men and women in the Vietnam era. Politicians jumped on the anti-war band wagon to save themselves embarrassment and keep their jobs.

How sad it is that people were encouraged to treat those who serve our nation honorably with such disdain. How horrible it is, today, that our Secretary of State was the very same person who coined the phrase "Baby Killer" as it's used against honorable troops.
