    Sorry, but I rest my case. It wasn't nonsense - Clinton and Rubin, knowing full well on which side the bread was buttered, went for the money and screwed us all big time.  We still haven't recovered, and as they were Democrats in charge of the government, it is fair to blame them and their party (despite your very fair observations)....

    Every Democrat in the Senate voted against it, along with most Democrats in the House. Clinton signed it because he was misled by Republicans and yes, Robert Rubin.
