  • I agree w/comments posted below. Joplin DID state quite clearly that his music was not to be performed too fast. But it should nonetheless remain in TWO. Not FOUR as performed here.

    Even if the arrangement is "Maple Leaf Swing" it simply doesn't work. You should remove it from your programme. There's a cool brass band arrangement of "Stardust". Try that instead.

  • Not quite what I was hoping to hear - definitely not the Maple Leaf Rag the way Joplin intended it. An interesting interpretation, I suppose, but WAAAAY too slow, and most definitely not ragtime!
