  • Great movie, dare I say, better than True Grit?

  • Its really an amazing film and as I grew up in the bush - there definatly was many elements of truth in some parts of this film - it was a hot harsh hell for the pioneers.. rot gut booze, tinned food, - aboriginal people who terrified some and speared them and whites who calously abused, raped and shot -both white and black very very harsh. the frontier indeed .

  • Saw this movie about 5 years ago in Australia, had never heard of it and it came on TV, to this day its still my favourite movie. Its worth listening to music by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis in other movies, i.e. the assasination of Jesse James by coward robert ford, and The Road. Both those movies have the same feel as the proposition as well.

  • @Quiksilvavu no shit, sherlock

  • I want to see a world through the eyes of this music, haunting yet human.

  • @dalmanation well said

  • @FightersOnlyMagazine This is an open forum so I must interject. The irony of your comments are amusing. Are you Celtic? Have you experienced conflict and/or the tyranny of the bush? I thought the movie was excellent. Pretentious - you said it. Sowolf honours this piece of art with a considered, critique. You however smoke a lot of pole and are quite possibly scared of your own shadow. Get your testicles out of your Mother's apron and go outside for a look. Sorry for the language but you suck.

  • @wardagh16 Like No Country for Old Men and There will be Blood

  • beautifully haunting film, so very very underrated. Absolutely fantastic sountrack.
