Sorry, am I missing something, the Mystery Jets are an indie band who love to perform. They're not fucking Five or Abba, THERE IS NO MIMING IN THIS VIDEO.

they are unfortunately miming except for Blaines vocals. they're playing silently along to the pre-mixed track so they can do one take in case the sound distorts or they make a mistake, plus its easier and half the audience of 15 year old girls wont know or care. and Blaines spinal bifida will not get better, its very sad indeed.

if you've seen them live you'd know they always have that drum intro playing anyway. Kapil doesn't play that, they always have that as a backing track live.

and that big brother thing, on friday night project, i saw it tonight the courteeners were on it and they played live...

If they are, it might have something to do with it being filmed outdoors... maybe? I don't know.
