MGS2:Substance Walkthrough - Hold Up MGS1 Snake Levels 5-10

Looking to achieve the "Virtually Impossible" trophy, but the last MGS1 Snake hold up levels are giving you problems? Check out the video to see how to ace every one of the latter levels!

Level 5- The key here is the stairs, once the timing is correct and the guard thinks he saw you, the rest is very manageable.

Level 6- The important thing in this level is to keep moving since that impending "status report" call comes from the first guard which is held up.

Level 7- A challenging level because of the timing of the slight pressing and depressing of the square button. Weaving in and out of enemy guards to prevent slamming into them can also be difficult.

Level 8- Placing the knock for one guard and letting the other guard think he saw you from below are crucial to being able to succeed in this level.

Level 9- The guards move in a steady geometrical pattern, so once that is figured out, it's a matter of seeing where the blind spots are.

Level 10- The guards using stealth camouflage notwithstanding, the crucial part of this level is timing the run down the hall after the second guard is held up. If done too soon or too late, the guard coming into the hallway will trigger an alert.

Anyone who has the xbox version its even easier b/c you just have to push down on the left analog stick. Snake automatically aims and doesn't fire a shot lol

@Whitesaturnsc2 Didn't know that. Haha. I guess if you want to experience the "true" difficulty of these missions, you need the playstation version.

@Godzillarex I actually just got the Platinum trophy a few days ago by beating Extreme Mode which was a relief. It was so hard to beat. I can now move on and start Snake Eater :D
