Sorry if this seems choppy. I really had to edit it down to make it fit into two segments.

  • My question is why does Edward need that many CD's? For someone who claims to dislike most music (Not much liking the 60's, hating the 70's, kind of liking the 80's and 90's and coping with the 2000's) and pretty much only liking classical, how can he have more CD's than a CD store?

  • Author wish fulfillment? Really, I can think of no other reason.

If I wrote Twilight, he'd be a huge fan of 30's era jazz and blues. Also, I would have devoted an entire novel to his adventures serving in the U.S. Army's secret Meyerpire forces. He'd be taking down Nazis with his teeth and lamenting his inability to enjoy supurb French cuisine.

    But I digress. XD

  • Are you a grad student of English lit or something? You make really great observations of the text!

  • No, I'm not a grad student (can't afford it), but it flatters me that you think I could be. I am, however, a writer myself and I like to think I appreciate the value of words.

  • If it's just "lying around"? It makes no sense that they don't do anything with it... Why do they even need that much money? You would think as immortals that something so "mortal" as money would disgust them, right?

  • Are you kidding? The Cullens are not high-thinking or disillusioned enough to reject their comfortable lifestyle. They lavish in the trappings of material wealth.

  • That's the big difference between Meyer and Rowling. Rowling helps the world. She donates so much. All proceeds from 3 of her books go directly to charity. That's more than Meyer can ever fathom of doing. Rowling is also the head of a charitable organization.

  • You know, one thing I really don't understand is that the Cullens are all about being pro-human, pro-honesty, pro-good-citizen sort of thing, and yet they selfishly act upon Alice's predictions of the changes in the stock market to gain even more money, when they clearly don't need it. I mean, honestly? Do these people know the meaning of contradiction and morality? I wonder how many people's taxes they're soaking up with all their money-grabbing. Contd.

"I'm sorry, only two buses are allowed in the city today, miss," he said, English with a heavy accent. He was apologetic now.

Eh, Meyer loves doing that shit doesn't she? I mean, I thought saying "I'm sorry" was an apologetic gesture!!

I laugh my ass off with every instance of "Yes," I agreed, or "Yes," she/he agreed! Ugh, she tries to sound so smart but she's such a dumbass! I disbelieve the degrees in literature she says she has!!

  • Great video, it was very informative :D. Some constructive criticism, try to add more emotion into your voice. Right now, you sound a bit awkward, doubtful, and robotic

  • @AlSidre It's okay. :)

  • @TomMSTie1138 I know what you mean I did that once. Well my excuse is that English is not my first lenguage.

  • @PotawatomiApiwa Interesting/original concept, not pandering to little girls, and cheap! What's not to like?

  • @TomMSTie1138 the vampire book that i have read closest to that scenario is the darkwing chronicles by Savannah Russe. her series is about a female vampire. the book i'm reading now: the lead vampire and her team are trying to figure out a way to save 12 kidnapped girls who were kidnapped by terrorists. that's the main plot. its really interesting. i'm only in the middle of it but i can't wait to finish it. its more graphic/mature than twilight saga. i found this book in a store for 1 dollar! 1!

  • Hehe. This is pretty funny. The two videos related to this are:

    1) "Akeboshi - Money (With Lyrics!)"

    2) "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony 'Money Money'"

  • aaahhh nostalgia critic, would rip this series apart... If his rules would have allowed it.

  • What pisses me off about the Cullens' is that they could probably cure cancer, aids, & get rid of world hunger with the money they have & instead they spend it on cars, enough CD's to fill a music store (if Edward doesn't even like music then why does he have so many CD's?) & a super mansion for a house. Talk about selfish

  • *Sigh* Meyer really does seem to believe that the more you have, the less you should share, doesn't she (remember Emily cooking for her werewolf friends every day on a working-class budget)?

Honestly, to me, the fact that we're supposed to see the Cullens as superior to all other people is actually *more* infuriating than the sexism (and I am a perfectly feminist woman, too). If this is how Meyer feels about her money, she doesn't deserve a cent!
