Horses do that, they think your playing... people, stop and think, theyre huge and not human.. They cant understand us most of the time

that chick was an idiot not your daughter the pro idiot

if it was a one off i would have shown the horse some anger but not with a whip because then the could get scared of the whip

@shewillbeloved1997 We choose it...but they choose HOW they are treated by how they act. If you were a horse.....would you rather have a tiny little chick liek that smacking you with the crop and epicly fail at putting u in your palce or would you rather the herd leader rain down on you with bites and kicks that rip your flesh?? You can't possibly hit a horse as hard as another horse could kick them. Every horses tests you for your position as leader, and if you let them they will walk over you.

@shewillbeloved1997 HORSES have a hairarchy in their horse herds.....when you own a horse, THEY are a part of your herd. And even a small pony jumpign on a 95lb person like me could kill me. ANY horse should know that YOU are the lead horse in the herd...they should respect you and move to your pressure. If they don;'t they can be dangerus. But they shouldn't be teriffied of you.

I don't think this person knew what they were doing. And someone tought this horse that this was an ok way to act. Personally, I would have been like HERE you want to move?? ROUND PEN TIME! And lundge the little bastard till it didn't have the energy to do this. Then try leading again.

she should have popped him a time or two, but hitting them in/near the face drives me crazy!! It makes them head-shy!! How would like a horse that if you raise your hand or leg quickly the horse would spook and throw his head up and jump back? I have a pony that is old and he doesn't like me to mount him from the ground bareback because when i fling up my leg to jump on, or reach quickly for his halter, he throws his head up. We didn't hit him in the head, i don't know how he became so head shy.

I think she was right to do it, not that extremely though ;)
Its not like the horse will stop and say ,"I'm so sorry, did I hurt you?"
-
you hit him too much do it 1 times not 10!!

HAHA LOL, I suppose even 'professionals' have moments like this so I wouldnt be so quick to judge her 'professionalism' without knowing her and her techniques/ experience in more detail. Gorgeous pony though, I would definatly buy (but I do go for the 'challenging' horses or at least those who seem to have a little bit of unffff/ character- yes yes Im a moron I know this :p)
i would have beat his ass to, that is unexceptable!

Personally I think there are instances when a horse should be put in its place. It is not abuse to teach a horse to respect you and respect your space. If a two horses are trying to establish dominance they will fight, they will kick and bite each other and I guarentee that getting hit with that flimsy little wip is not near as painfull as a well placed kick from another horse.
