The X-Finger™ is the world's first active-function artificial finger assembly designed specifically for partial finger amputees. The device allows users to regain complete control of the flexion and extension movements of an artificial finger in a self-contained device. It is designed to bend a silicone finger sheath in a realistic manner.

  • @jimday666 They also have a thumb model thats amazing.Check it out.

  • That sucks if you have to please a female...

  • Here hoy us one of them fingers, I'll be the poster boy in Britain

  • umm, the pinky finger ins't so important as the thumb. if you lose you're thumb you lose 90% of grip modes and mobility, while loosing the pinky it reduces you to just 10%. so no biggie.

  • That had to have manufacturing maxima

  • how did u lose your finger ???

    (not to sound rude !!!)

  • @BitsInAByte Thanks for the response on this. I do get along fine for the most part without the finger. Typing is sometimes awkward and catching things in the right hand took some getting used to . I think a device like this would actually get in the way more that it would help.

Hey David, I'm currently studying prosthetics and orthotics in college, we've seen the blueprints for this thing and even did a case study on it. The MINIMUM "stub length" for any non-robotic prosthetic finger is at least 10mm,depending on age and height. Unfortunately due to the law of the lever, a 5 or 6mm stub just can't generate the leverage to activate the mechanism effectively. And as the x finger is currently still in development, VA wouldn't cover it I don't think

  • @xmbomagic Yes i thought it was magic trick gimmick or something lol

  • thumb up if you thoght this was the magic trick 'x-finger'
