TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. -- He vanished without a trace and now on Thanksgiving Day, the parents of a missing Taylorsville teenager are offering a new reward for information in the case.
Momma, I'm home. I love you, reminisced Patricia Baker, words she hasnt heard her son say in 19 months.
At 19-years-old, Travis Baker disappeared from Catawba County on April 16, 2007.
"I love my son, said Baker. I want answers. I want him back with us."
Investigators haven't ruled out foul play in the disappearance.
"He was supposed to meet his fiancé for dinner, said father Dwayne Baker.
Instead, they say Travis was last seen when he left a friend's home on Oxford School Road, just north of the town of Catawba.
Past efforts to find Travis and his 1998 red Camaro turned up nothing. His father believes Travis is alive.
You can't just say, 'Yeah, he's gone, said Dwayne Baker. I won't believe that until I'm proved wrong. I wont give up trying to find him.
A $5,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to the arrest of the person or people responsible for Travis disappearances. This Thanksgiving, the Bakers are offering a separate $2,000 reward for information on their sons disappearance, no questions asked.
Give us some type of closure, said Dwayne Baker. Let us find Travis."
The Bakers are confident someone knows what happened to Travis.
While you are sitting there with your family having thanksgiving dinner, think about what we are going through, said the father.
