This is a video I made to the song "Tell Me Why" which is supposedly about Geri leaving the band. Yes, Geri fans, there ARE clips of her in this video as well as clips from the other girls' group and solo careers!

  • whats the video where Victoria is cutting up roses? seen at 0:53

  • Let your head go

  • I love this song and can't keep away from this song. It's a pity that they didn't make an offical video for this. But Star your video is the best out of all the fan vids I've seen. I love it!

  • Thank you :)

  • I heard that Mel B and Geri were not getting along. During these events that it was either going to be Mel B or Geri that was going to leave because they're problems had escalated.

My guess is that Geri was the one to go because if it was Mel B I can honestly see the media making this to seem like it was a racist move and would crush the spice girls. That and also appearently geri had interest in going solo.

Also is it victoria who sings in the opening of the song? They sound beautiful!

  • Geri also said it was because of the girls not wanting her to do a fundraiser or something for breast cancer, because she had a lump when she was 18. And yes that is Victoria.

  • The spice girls made very good music. I don't understand why it did not work very well for them at the end. In my country, no radio wanted to play their tracks. It's so unfair. Those girls are great together and in solo. I don't know what people have against them... grrr

  • @lucky444407 It isn't. Victoria sang an opening lead on a number of their songs.

  • @Beebers2006 completely agree. their best work. If they had promoted it it would've been a big success as it did make no.1 in charts internationally despite meaningful promotion. I think this growth shone the real talent they had as a group which was often disregarded during the period 1996-1997 becuase they were so hyped and everywhere

  • very cool

  • @lucky444407

    What about Saturday Night Diva's?

  • this is the only song by the spice girls that victoria sings the opening lines

  • Whats the video at 0:40.

  • @Beebers2006 You're right in some way, they absolutely had to change something and grow up. 'Holler' was not bad, also 'Goodbye' but they lost their Spice vibe after Geri left the band. Sure it's not a bad album but comparing with the phenomenon of the Spice, it is a failure.

  • @sunnytsofiya I wouldn't say that "Forever" was a total disaster. It STILL made #2 in the UK, and produced "Holler," which went to #1. Regardless of what they had done, the media was going to be against them. If they had stuck to their poppy roots, then people would have said that they don't know how to evolve with the times and move on. As it was, they said that the girls were trying to be something they weren't. I still think that "Forever" was their best album by far. Much more mature.

  • @ColdoMarsh

The word 'Closure' sounds kinda gay.

  • I honestly think if Geri hadn't left at their peak then they would of faded out! Look at Westlife - they are just past their sell by date. Geri went out on a high & although we would are wondering what could of been - we have to accept that she left. We got the reunion tour which was fab & it was closure :)!
