we cant judge people from the period days like we do in modern times, Hanna did not choose her husband she had no choice, in those days when you are married you are married divorce was hardly an option. if Hanna had made a willing decision to marry Fred even if it was for love or financial security i would judge her differently, Don't forget it is not so easy to control our feelings

i believe marriage should be respected, but when a woman or man is force into it what do you all think would happen. Ned was always there for Hanna, it would be extremely hard for her not to love him or be with him. It is not right that she is cheating on her husband but is very hard for her not too.
