um...they probably clipped his wings because it would be stupid to let him fly around a house with hazards such as FANS or other dangerous obstacles..... and maybe because its a big bird if he flies into something he can break it...theres nothing wrong with clipping wings..i had to cut my bird's wings after she escaped from her cage and flew into the pool. yeah its safety to don't start calling that person names
