1000 people drowned in the world's most densely populated city, Mumbai, and the explanation was global warming and excess building. It wasn't until disaster struck that the citizens of Mumbai realised the importance of the Mangroves.

  • Mumbai aka Bombay should be declared a new state should have it's own government.

  • what is even more frustrating is that Mumbai has no city plans! The current sewage system which is being build will only last another 6-7 years and then we ll have the same issue again. The biggest problem is there no authority directly responsible for the city. BMC says this falls under state government and they are least bothered about mangroves as long their pockets are filled. What we need is a directly elected mayor who is responsible for this.
