  • Bill Kennedy was a Detroit institution. Kind of like Sir Graves and the Ghoul. Bell Kennedy at the Movies is a large part of my childhood. I remember him on Channel 9, the Canadian station. He sat behind a desk and fielded calls and answered letters and gave little factoids about the featured movie. Never realized how much I miss him.

  • Oh, if only we could have movie hosts of this nature on television in this day and age.

  • @Jupiter98111 I think Monster week and Beatles week were on the 4:00 Movie on Channel 7. I do remember Oopsy, Bozo, Friendly Giant and the Capt.:)

  • How about Michigan Outdoors with your host Mort Neff?

Or the Rita Bell Prize Movie?

  • 'On with the show!!'

  • Wow, It's been years!! I loved watching Bill Kennedy...what a guy!

  • @BootPatrol We do have a couple: Robert Osborne and Herman J. Mankiewicz, both are hosts on TCM (Turner Classic Movies).

  • @kyokogodai I think? George Pierrot was on Mon-Fri at 5:30 pm just before the news. Man it's been 35+ years. Help us Youtubers. Sundays, you might be thinking of Marlin Perkins show, Mutual Of Omahas "Wild Kingdom" Your right about Walt Disney that was on Sundays at 7:30 pm. On channel 7. A long time ago.

  • @cinerama62 My Grandfather always had George Pierrot on, when we visited him. Wasn't he on Sunday's, just before Lawrence Welk? Or was it Walt Disney Presents? Man, that was a long time ago!!

  • @Jupiter98111 Oopsy the Clown was on Channel 4 (NBC) on Sunday mornings, back in the late 60's through the 70's. Might have even made it to the 80's, but I am not sure about that.
