Shriekback are a rock band formed in 1981 in Kentish Town by Barry Andrews, formerly of XTC and League of Gentlemen (keyboards/vocals) and Dave Allen, formerly of the Gang of Four (bass), with Carl Marsh, formerly of Out On Blue Six (guitars/vocals) soon added to the line-up. They were joined by Martyn Barker on drums in 1983.

This song "Clear Trails" is taken from their 1983 album "Care".

  • A friend of mine once played in a band called Cleartrails. Their singer lent my (vinyl) copy of Care and when I got it back, it was so scratchy that I haven't been able to listen to this beautiful song ever since - until I found this video. Thanks!
