@xephyr1000 - Respect to you. I've been saying the same thing. There are many referrences to helping the poor, fatherless and widows in the bible but these guys never preach it. The tithings were crops too, not money.

If Jesus were to appear today, Christians would be the first to denounce him as a Socialist, a Progressive and an Activist, not a Capitalist or a Conservative.
Jesus sought to change prevailing attitudes, he reached out to the outcasts, the poor and the weak, healed the sick without leaving them burdened with financial debt, and taught AGAINST religious dogma. Jesus would find Christianity a very strange thing.

Remember that Dr Walter Martin PREDICTED that most of the ministries listed would die out soon, and yet HE died while they have survived. Ever wonder why false prophets like that die before their times?????

And I know of other preachers who made their own investments from their own previous incomes, found nice houses at very reduced prices, bought them and fixed them up, and then idiotic Heresy Hunters came and accused these preachers of fleecing the flocks WITHOUT ever checking out the facts. What a bunch of blind leaders and LIARS most of these Heresy Hunters are.
