The 2-6-4 locomotive class 310 was a masterpiece of the Austrian locomotive designer Karl Golsdorf. With its unusually tall driving wheels of 2.14m the engine caused a sensation everywhere. With slightly over 100km / h maximum speed it was considered the Monarchy's fastest means of locomotion in 1911.
This clip is from the first CD of a trilogy which shows the history of the 310.23 with historical pictures and engine operation in post second world war Austria.
