You are actually supposed to start with the back of the head, then work forward. The hair in the back of the head is more resistant than the front, so starting from the back will leave the dye on it longer, therefore when you're done, the back will have a head start. Doing this will mean you will have to section off your hair, which allows for more even coverage which you will not get if you just throw the color on in any way and direction.

According to google bleach is; "A chemical (typically a solution of sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide) used to whiten or sterilize materials."
So peroxide is style a type of bleach :3
Your hair looked really nice in the end, the shaved side is awesome :D

I'd like to go this exact colour of red. The only problem is that underneith my hair it's bleached blonde. What should I do for that part if I'm dying my hair with this? I'd like all my hair to be the same colour :(

that's exactly the color im going for! so, if you mix it with 40 volume as opposed to like 20, does that mean it would lighten it more as well as color it?
-
will the color show up on dark brown hair?
@AllAboutNee I don't think fluorescent means what you think it means.
