Yannis Pappas - I Was Shot | Modern Comedian - Episode 15

Yannis Pappas is one of NYC's favorite native comics, born and raised in Brooklyn - a rarity amongst his peers. Few can write good jokes as fast as Yannis.

A year into stand up, Yannis was shot in a traumatic botched armed robbery attempt. In this episode, we see Yannis tell the story while working out some new jokes on the subject.

I am a comic, I am not a gun enthusiast. I do not own a firearm. but, had you had a gun, any NRA / firearm safety course would have told you to react EXACTLY how you did! Good job! That is why you are alive today to tell this story. When responsibly owning a gun for self defense, it should ONLY be used as the last possible option. You did the right thing. I can not imagine what that must have been like for you. But, as you know....TRAGEDY + TIME = COMEDY. Keep making 'em laugh brother!!
