Remove the mag first. Then pull charging handle for safety check. That way you wont chamber a new bullet if mag had ammo. Another thing is that every part should be put in order on the table that way when you reassemble you put them back in reverse order. Not just throwing the pieces all over the place. Banging the ak carelessly is a no no. Peace.
