They aren't licking the alcohol. It is merely meant to clean the brush. Licking gobs of hand sanitizer off their hands is a far cry from what I am recommending. Geesh!

Alcohol is horrible for this use. There are children who have had siezures from licking hand sanitizer off their hands. Horrible advice!!!

You can remove the plastic insert from the lip gloss, then use a fresh q-tip to apply the gloss. Then you don't have to use an alcohol pad to clean the applicator.
