Reliving my childhood with my son is fun. I am of the Stomper generation and made such obstacles as a kid. My son and I dug his track, watered it down, packed it over two days - with test runs in between. I much prefer he spend his time doing this than playing his Nintendo 3DS. It was time well spent with him. And beyond being a good father-son activity for us, it reminded me how much fun I had a kid with my Stomper and Rough Rider. I played with those toys for hours at a time. It was imaginative play and helped build my imagination (along with all the other games I played). Here's to hoping this generation plays imaginatively too.
