@TheHeliumkid I had a cassette tape of that LP which got swiped out of my car. It's a "brighter" faster version, right, with great harmonies, almost ethereal IIRC. Maybe I'm overdoing it, but this sounds almost dirge-like in comparison.
The original band performed this in hmmm the mid-1990s at a small club in Mountain View, Calif. Skip was ready to do it in the key of G, but Jerry Miller, seemingly somewhat annoyed, said something along the lines of, "We do it in "A", Skippy", ...upon which Alexander Spence simply forged onward, in perfect pitch as one would fully expect.
Thanks for loding this. Today, when too much water has passed across the river, we realize the serious musical trend that many people who are underrated into the search of alternative. Skip Spence was a good example of this.
Is that an old photo of Skip? Looks like it to me. He is playing an old Guild guitar which looks as if it was decorated by John Cippolina, if I am not mistaken. Never seen this photo before. This is very nteresting to me.
@Patfaki That looks like Gary Duncan. Also in quicksilver messenger service as john cippolina. They had similar sg guitars.
