quick question:
after you insert the needle do you push the medicine quickly? because as far as im concerned, pushing in the med quickly is extremely painful.

@bleechedbones Depends...I usually ask my patient what they want me to do. Some folks would rather just have it over faster.

So in regular nursing practice if you do hit a vessel would you waste the medicine and get new?

@mrsasakali Yes. Retract, waste the med. Grab new syringe and needle, draw up new med and administer :)
