After a general cleanup, and checking valve clearances points gaps, thoroughly cleaning out oil tank, and refilling the bike with fresh oil and fuel, This is the first attempt at restarting since, 1972, when I believe the bike was last on the road. The reading of 12,486 miles on the speedo, is I believe the original mileage.
Well played mate. For riding comfort I'd switch those cowhorn American bars for a set of English flats and you'd be well away. Long may you run...

Cool bike Greg. When I was a kid growing up in Seattle Triumphs like this were hot stuff. I have always enjoyed the classic styling and simplicity. Although I have never owned one I would like to have an old classic like this. Although I am a big Harley lover and owner for many years, I can certainly appreciate this well taken care of British classic. Black Bike Mike

my dad used do buy a cheap crappy rusted, broken one of these all the time when they first came out. He would fix them up, ride them for a day untill they broke down in some ditch and jst leave it there.
