The words make it too complicated. May I suggest a very simple counting rhythm. "1, 2 & 3" Both hands play on 1, your right hand plays on 2 and 3, and your left hand plays on the &.

@cefinow have you heard the Schulmann Frequencies/Harmonies? Check out 432Mhz (Chakra Awakening or something like that(?)) and 528Mhz (the frequency for 'Love').

'Universal' Rhythms, harmonics (esp when used with with water) and frequencies help us to stay 'in-tune' with our natural bio-chemistry within the body. Its a fascinating subject that has for some reason not been studied properly. I suspect a cover-up of some sort. But Im a skeptical mofo... doesn't mean Im wrong though.

I had to come back here, was reading about subsaharan polyphonic rhythms, they don't even have a name for rhythm, they dance with this 2/3 beat (2 being the feet, 3 the drums). this fascinates me -cause I never knew that b4, but in church interludes will slip into 2 in left hand, 3 in right, not even aware of rhythm but only change in atmosphere, it starts being "good for people" somehow?? (although I think ewww when hear "healing/therapeutic") Are there Universal Rhythms?

I also remember something by Chopin, not a nocturne where the right hand just goes for a spin, but maybe a polonaise? where there was one bar I could not get past because the two hands were playing very different rhythms... drove me crazy, I walked it out and clapped and counted and drew lines between the clefs, could not get it, gave UP! cannot remember what it was now??!! tried to find sheet music with my lines drawn, it's gone??

lol I remember years ago trying to learn different drumming rhythms (on a pillow on my knees) and 3/2 and 2/3 gave me fits. How do you put 1.5 beats against 1 beat. Finally landed on a 6 beat measure, left hand (2 beats) will hit on beats 1 and 4, and right (3 beats) will land on beats 1, 3, 5. The point is 2 evenly spaced and 3 evenly spaced beats in each unit of time. When you get the feel of it you can use it all kinds of ways, just un-sync your hands when you feel like it. good luck

perhaps i should consider myself lucky, that this is not something i can do innately,

and the feeling of accomplishment will mean more, once i can...

now i can practice this while driving, and also while watching paul playing the piano slowly, I might also try to play along on my side..

the best way to say thankyou for this, is to some day send you my recording in proper tempo..
