I have the following issue, I have a macbookpro 15 i5 .24GHz mid 2010. just bought a new LCD for it, and the screen is still black!!! any ideas what's going on, I took it to the apple store the first time with the old screen, and they told it was the backlight, replaced it with a new LCD and again the same thing, backlight, how come? new LCD and I know it was fully functional before put on the ohter laptop. Any ideas?
@Baffucci i didnt think it was worth the price the shops i went to were askin for 200 im plannin to get a mac off ebay but look for shops that fixes mac u might get a better price than i did

@LukeGreenthumbs i got the same problem, whenever i push my screen beyong say about 45 to 50 degrees, the backlight LCD cuts out but i can still see the screen is operating, have you been able to resolve this? i read about this defect on wiki and says the screen needs to be resoldered, would try it myself but no vid guidelines :(
same thing is happening for me. I have to "defibrilate" the screen. by that i mean pressing the brightness from null to 1 back and forth untill it works. it pisses me off greatly.
