Steve Waugh scores a vital 80 in his final Test match to steer Australia to a draw. His final shot is a slog sweep caught in the deep by Sachin Tendulkar.

  • this is the shittest quality vid on youtube

  • how fitting that his last time at bat was bowled kumble caught tendulkar. A great indian leggy and a great indian batsman combine to take the wicket of the great steve waugh. I reckon if any other combination had taken s.waugh's wicket would not have done his last test innings justice. What character. He could have poked around and got his ton, but he went out trying to win the match. This is one video I will show my son as an example of selfsacrifice for team glory. Well done Steve.

  • As a token Englishman I can say that my country were very glad to see the back of Steve Waugh. A very tough competitor who led a great side.

  • I remember this well, was at my grandparents house in Bankstown, for what ever reason they were taking an interest in this match purely because it was Steve's last match and he was from Bankstown despite never having watched cricket in their lives.

    They're both dead now, RIP

  • super commentry by Bill Lawry

  • I grew up trying to copy his back foot driving

  • @saintcasper91 3 is mobile brand sponsoring the series!!!

  • I remember one of the commentators, I think it may have been Bill Lawry saying after Waugh's dismissal, summarising it nicely by saying 'Bowled by a fellow Warrior, caught by a fellow champion' in regards to Kumble being the bowler and Tendulkar being the catcher.
