@vikki2day oh nice, i wonder how life would have been for me, you and in fact all of India and Pakistan if there had been no partition. Yes i speak a little bit of saraiki, which is referred to as "derewaali" by the elders in the clan rather than saraiki. I hardly speak it but i can understand a lot of it.

i am from Surat, Gujarat, India. My grandparents both paternal and maternal emigrated to Kanpur/Calcutta from Dera Ismail Khan during partition. I never knew Derewaali was also known as Saraiki. So where are the rest of you from? The Bhatia Bazaar (im Karan Bhatia) still runs in Dera Ismail Khan?
