A video shot by rebel soldiers shows a group of armed men ambushing a convoy in rural Deraa.

A UK-based rights group says at least four government soldiers were killed in the attack, which was carried out by the Free Syrian Army, a loose umbrella group of armed rebels and government army defectors.

The ambush took place near Khirbet al-Ghazali, in rural Deraa, according to the Observatory.

The video shows nine men armed with automatic rifles of various calibres on the roof of a deserted house, facing a main road. A voice is heard counting the buses, before saying "10 buses".

After another voice says the group should not wait any longer, the group opens fire.

The firing continues for about one minute. The cameraman pans two a tattered piece of paper bearing the Free Syrian Army's logo on it.
