I didn't hear any evidecne that this would destroy the environment. All your points aimed at saying that the pipeline won't be as beneficial to the economy as the proponents claim; but you haven't shown any evidence that it would be bad for the economy either. A temporary job for two years is still better than no job for two years. A prospering McDonalds for two years is better than a broke McDonalds tomorrow.

Where is the actual downside?

for environmentalists sake... they should not use the pollution of Tar Sands development as an argument point... they will continue to be developed and the lack of an american pipeline will not stop or slow down any of it. The potential pollution of the Aquifer.. and leakages on american soil should be the only points on this matter

Good stuff! You may have forgot to mention that people believe that this will help lower gas prices. It is certainly one of the GOP candidates talking points.
