I drive for asda. I can see absolutely no good reason why deliveries can't be made at night, that way we arent in anyone's way, no traffic so fuel economy is maximised and emissions reduced.
Unfortunately it's a management decison and they really don't listen to us. This is not the only store where deliveries cause an obstruction.

Funny that u state that ASDA have noved the gates back. What has actually happened is that ASDA have advised Drivers to Park close upto the Gates. That is all

Sorry Mikey, if you won't take our word and visual evidence as the truth perhaps ASDA themselves can persuade you: ASDA Statement 9.04.09 "...We apologise for any incovenience this may have caused customers or residents. The gates have been moved back, allowing pedestrians more room to walk behind any lorries that may be waiting to go through our gates. The loading bay has also been reconfigured, allowing twice as many lorries in, meaning there should be less lorries waiting at the gate."
