  • @norsketroll1 No. It's funny ;) Some random words sound exactly the same and I know some random words from the news, but if an estonian came to talk to me, I wouldnt know what they were saying. But the pronunciation and the flow of the speaking are VERY similar. How estonian sounds me is probably how finnish sounds to someone who dosent speak finnish.

  • Finns don't speak that direct and loudy tho')))

  • @JaJsemJestem Are you fucking kidding me? Estonia is a free country and Estonian should be the only national language

  • @norsketroll1 No we aren't so similar, we can just understand a few words :D :D

  • @norsketroll1 Im from finland and i only understand some words in estonian, but when finnish ppl go 2 estonia there's a lot of ppl who understands finnish.. in those 2 languages there's alot of similar words. So yes i think we understand each others in some way :D

  • @CrushingReality I've often suggested to Finnish people that Tolkien reading his Quenya poem Namarie shows how the intonantion sounds to non-Finnish speakers :)

  • @JaJsemJestem Lets make Estonian language national in Russia too, then

  • @JaJsemJestem I'm not estonian myself. But ONLY Estonian should be the language in Estonia. It's a pretty and unique language. And Russian is a colonial language NOT a native language.

  • @Gino97 Not just Russian, but both! The Estonian and the Russian must be national languages in Estonia...

  • I'm Hungarian and it's pitty that I can't understand anything from Estonian and Finnish language. Because we used to live as one family a long ago, so our languages are relatives. I think it's caused by the different effects from outside (Hungarian language has got many Turkish, German and souther Slavic words, even in our slang many Yiddish words are used, but basically it has remained in its original form with a renewing).

Anyway, it's very fine to listen to Estonian language...nice language.
