Being well known is different than selling out. The reason why they arent well known is cuz people are afraid to TELL people about them. Spread the word and get more people involved in this, its always been the best way to spread knowledge of anything.
I understand your caution not to ruin a bands quality by enticing their musical influence with money and fame, but dont hog the fucking band all to yourself. Share the love my friends! Im sure its exactly what they would want you to do as a fan

my sister said that they practice for like a few hours a day. it definitely shows. i saw them the other day and i could swear that there wasn't one wrong not in their entire set. sheer perfection!
