My mom used to have a cat that would do this, blankets, clothing. Sometimes he would howl when he did it. I gave him the nickname Blanket Biter. Even though he was neutered, he would twist things in his mouth, and then hump it. Sometimes he would get laundry out of the basket, hump it on the bed, and drag the item out into the hall way before letting it out of his mouth. Even though neutered, I guess they still feel down there, and like with people, if it feels good, it feels good lol

O.K. my cat does this exact same thing...same stance and everything...definitely humping behavior sorry to burst all u people's bubbles who thought she was "kneading"I have talked to a cat behavioral specialist about why my cat did it and they said- it is possible that your cat wants more attention this usually happens after a traumatic event like if you were to bring another cat into the house.

This is a normal behavior.Whether neutered/spayed or not it's just a natural action. Many reasons for it...taken from their mother too soon is mainly why cats knead.Lookup 'kneading-cats' in Wikipedia... another is a sexual release since the majority of cats that exhibit this behavior are neutered or spayed. It is also a way of showing affection, kneading that is.I have had numerous cats do this both male and female...altered and unaltered. My male humps everything soft.its normal.

Hmmm...when she does this does she leave "dribbles" behind? The reason I ask, a cat has taken up with my household during these cold winter months and when she milk kneads, her tail sticks straight up and her back legs shake, but only when she milk kneads something plush like a blanket or pillow, does this happen. I'm just wondering if that is "typical humping" behavior" or if it's something more serious like a bladder infection.
watever ur jus jealous ur cat doesnt do this
