The parasails seem to give wayyy too much lift, aka mostly flying and no skiing, might as well parasail down

ParaSAILS?
What is being used in the videos is FAR from being a Parasail...those are very technologically advanced 11 sqm Paragliders.
Nothing even close to Parasails!

i was pretty close lol. that was just my best guess based on D=R*T distance= Rate * Time and i overshot the guess on the base of the mountain too. lol. my initial calculation was much closer to the truth

Yeah pretty close...only about 3,000'/25% off...lol

what mountain is this on? i did a rough math estimate that he was going 50 mph (seventy feet per second) or so for a total of at least 184 seconds. that would mean that the mountain range was at least 12,880 feet tall not including the unseen landing which would have lasted for about another min and a half. guess for mountain height is 16,000 ft

This was on the Eiger which is a notable mountain in the Bernese Alps, rising to an elevation of 3,970 m (13,025 ft.)
