I added quite a bit of lettuce starts a couple weeks ago and pulled some older plants. Did want to show off my pretty koi in my 40 gallon sump tank. I also added some really beautiful ones to my 100 gallon tank where they share the tank with my Golden Tilapia but will have to post another video for that. Yeah, one koi is even named Lady Gaga.

  • @Songer80: Oh yes, very observant. Yes, they are water hyacinths and yep, they do take up nutrients. I keep some in there to cut down on the amount of light that hits the water, to keep algae down. It's a tradeoff.

  • Hi Joan, just curious, why do you have water hyacinth in your fish tank? Doesn't it take nutrients away from your plants?
