i absolutely love Leonard Cohen. He has a voice like velvet and his lyrics are so poignantly sexy and political at the same time. He is an amazingly interesting individual as well. i have always loved this song by him. i used iMove to collage this video together.

@MKFaizi Even if you don't call it it love or romance, Bonding is bio-chemical. The human body releases narcotic-like chemicals during the early part of a relationship. Whatever you think about love, an emotional connection to someone else helps survival.

@brelfan There is no necessity for insanely wracked hormones in order to perpetuate the species. No need for stupidity in order to produce children. Neither romance nor sex nor masculinity nor femininity are necessary to continue the so called human race. Its all cellular. That is why there are so many baby mamas and baby daddys nowadays. It is an exchange of fluids only. Entirely meaningless.

Brilliant... as usual. At the end of WWII I ran all the way to Auntie Anna's house to tell her. She already knew. She, like me had heard it on the radio. I'd stubbed my toe, running to her house, she wanted to clean it, bandage it. I was five years old, I only wanted to tell my aunt that the miracle had come. The war was over.
