Ok most Americans don't. I didn't. Also since I can admit Im not phone smart can someone please help me since I want an unlocked phone but I am on Verizion CDMA network plan thing so any suggestions please help

In the US many don't understand the concept of a mobile device being independant of mobile service. This is probably due to a couple factors, one being CDMA and the other being almost universal device subsidies. It is sad that even GSM customers in the US, folks with AT&T and T-Mobile, have little understanding that wireless can be like internet service - the phone or pc are not related to the service.

I can't help but feel that if you didn't know what an unlocked phone meant when you started this video, you wouldn't understand anything more by the end of it.

I had no idea that "locked phones" even exist, the concept is quite stupid. I thought everyone has this "unlocked" aka "SIM card based".

ok this should be onTV for all of those peoples that don't know what an unlocked phone means, or that there's a more advanced phone out there than what the current carriers offer.
