You need to go to Marfa and see for yourself. Open your mind.

What a moronic piece of crap! Any half-ass intelligent person would know there's a highway over there and car lights would be moving on it at night. Why in hell would they build a platform ten miles away if the lights were so freaking distant? It takes months of monitoring to see the lights! You don't just show up any old time and see them!

I was in Marfa 3 years ago and a friend dragged me out to see those lights, i had no interest in them until i actually saw them. This is some shitty footage. What i saw was 3 or 4 lights moving up and down very fast across huge areas of the sky. By huge areas, i mean an area miles wide and high. I am a skeptical person, but i had no idea what i was seeing. I dont see how a mirage can make car lights jump three miles up in the sky, and then shoot 3 miles horizontally in a matter of seconds.

@sandosrules Actually, the first published account of the lights was written in 1957. All other claims of older anecdotes concerning sightings of the lights comes from second-hand, unverifiable evidence after that time. Most of it from the internet and fringe TV series like Unsolved Mysteries, etc.
Couple this with the fact that Marfa has a yearly festival and actively promotes them for the purposes of tourism, and I think you know as well as I do that they are completely bogus. It's bunk.

@sandosrules I rarely get to my ML pages anymore, since I've moved on to other areas. You, however, must follow scientific protocol. YOU make a claim - YOU BACK IT UP. Not me, YOU. I published my hyperspectral data, ground video, 3-D maps, USGS aerials, and combined it all into a working hypothesis. I didn't tell you or anyone else to do it for me. I listed my references, sources, and methodology. You wanna claim cowboys saw the lights in the 1880s publish the reference. YOU publish it.

@IESigma Wrong first report of the Marfa Lights came from a cowboy in the 1880's who was out on the range one night with the herd when he witnessed the phenomena. Get your facts straight.

The spectrograph is limited so do not put any faith it its results which also relies on satellites. That useless equipment cannot see anything. If the Marfa Lights cannot be seen from the air then neither can car headlights so that does not make any sense. Satellites are used to make many types of maps so if the satellites cannot be trusted you better stop using maps. Telluricfields videos are inaccurate and lack methodology so the study is wrong. Marfa Lights are a mystery.

This study is wrong.

@IESigma You are WRONG! You have NEVER been to see the Lights. You do NOT know how to do proper research. All you can do is rely on the internet. Go to the Library and you will find the TRUTH. Take my word as a witness that the Lights are a mystery.

Marfa Lights are cannot be solved at this time.
Dear rlmarr,
Can you limit your comments to say, one of the five videos I've put on YouTube? It takes a lot of space and many readers, like me, would be scratching their heads over your "Research Methodology Help."
