I love Patrick he's amazing all natural :)

@TheLocalDJ yes, it does. if it's a sound you can produce with your voice, it's a register. for most of his songs, Pat's probably in his Mixed Voice and Head Voice (kinda like falsetto, but alot better-sounding)... and although i may be wrong about this, according to his starting note, he's actually a natural baritone (can't hit bass notes; F2 is the lowest Baritone note). but boy, does he have a range!

He has an amazing range... but considering that he had to belt an F#4 (Mixed Voice), do you really think that he could hit a D5 in Modal without stretching Chest Voice? Just sayin...

@Official7Records The break between mixed and chest is always a blurry one and as someone who's just a singer from online vocal lessons I'd doubt I can give you much insight :P But he could definitely hit a D5 in the same vocal tone as he hits the B4, C5, C#5.

@JoeSingsBadly I see, I see... But with his mixed voice at an F#4, that means that's about where his break is, which means he can't go any higher than that in Chest Voice. Maybe in Mixed, but that's a big maybe. However, that's not necessarily putting Pat down; F#4 is WAY higher than most people can go in Mixed, and I know few people who can hit a G#5 in any register at all.

@Official7Records Well my mixed voice crossover is Eb4-F and I can hit high C's, D's, even E's on occasion in mixed. Also, where the mixed voice cuts in doesn't determine where the chest voice ends, it simply becomes the point where you have to use mixed to sing at a reasonable level. One can still belt in chest voice well above their mixed starting point. Watch my Send Me On My Way video where I belt a G4 in chest.

@JoeSingsBadly Going higher than your Passagio (breaking point) in chest voice is what's called "Going up in chest". You CAN do it, but you have very little control over it, and you'd get the same effect (but with control) if you did it in mixed. But, more importantly, it's VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD for your voice; it forms vocal nodules, which require intensive surgery and therapy to get rid of.
