Springfield XD9: Good Glock Alternative

The XD is a good gun with excellent reliability and accuracy. In this series I compare it against my current standard in 9mm pistols, the Glock 17. In most respects, the XD designs takes its design cues directly from the Glock. Other downsides include a shiny non-tactical magazine, higher bore axis, an unneeded grip safety, and a heavier carry weight. Upsides include a better grip angle (ala 1911), ambidextrous mag release, a loaded chamber indicator, and more included accessories. My preferences lean towards the Glock but the XD9 is an outstanding alternative. Comparison to Glock 17, Nutnfancys 9mm standard. If a gun design exceeds the G17 standards in all categories over a long period, it will become the new standard of reference:
WEIGHT: Advantage Glock by 3 ounces
FIREPOWER: Tie with factory mags but advantage Glock with FACTORY 33 rd mag and +2 baseplates
DURABILITY: Advantage G17 durable for over 250,000 rounds; XD still proving this reputation
ACCURACY: Slight advantage G17 but your mileage may vary
SIGHTING RADIUS: Advantage G17
ERGONOMICS: Advantage G17 (unneeded grip safety but XD 1911 grip angle preferable)
SIMPLICITY: Advantage G17 (no grip safety)
ACCESSORIES: Mostly a tie
PRICE: Tie
