glide speed depends on weight, it shuld be no more than 60 at max gross, it should decrease a bit with a lighter gross weight (technically)

Im Pretty Certain The 152 Has A Best Glide Speed Of 65 Knots, Not 70

70 knot glide speed way to fast.

2200RPM is about 90 knots IAS, and 55 knots is only 5-6 knots above VS1. I wouldn't think that it is wise for you to be holding the nose straight and level this close to a stall when you are entering the descent.

2300 RPM * = cruise
Throttle Idle on Descent ( clear every 1000FT)
Glide speed ~ 55 knots
Leveling off anticipate at 100ft above (FPM=1000)
