As you all know, I am a proud defender of the United States Constitution. On May 23rd 2010, I read Mr. Bernstein's article "To Market, To Market", how you Supervisors quietly embraced a policy that no proposed law can land on the agenda unless the Board has already okayed an initiation order that says what the law would do, served up by Supervisors Ashley and Tavaglione.

Initiation order? After the fact of the ramrodding of Ordinance 884 for Supervisor Stone's special interest group, the Church of Scientology?

You all knew this was a troublesome, illegal, and wrong ordinance, a horrendous violation of the United States Constitution. You had no obligation to Supervisor Stone's special interest group, the Church of Scientology. Only Supervisor Stone benefitted.

And now, you want to remedy this for the sake of future ordinances and your reputations? Shame on you!

Supervisors, I would like to introduce you to my special interest group. It's called the United States Constitution.

Do you know that the Center of Individual Rights, located in Washington, D.C., Munger, Tolles & Olson, located in Los Angeles, provided services to me pro bono. They represented me in regards to Waltz v. Broomfield and the State of California, the Department of Fair Housing and Employment. I am very honored to stand here today to present you with a copy of the Julie Waltz First Amendment Policy.

Do you realize that the State of California and the Department of Fair Housing now realize the legality and the strength of the United States Constitution?

Now is the time for you Supervisors to draw from your own courage and repeal this travesty of an ordinance.

I am not going to go away until you repeal the ramrodding of Ordinance 884.

Could you please do that today? Put it back on the agenda?
