Film History:

Back in May of 2002, Star Wars fever was in the air due to the anticipated arrival of Star Wars Episode II. For Justin Huber's high school speech class, he needed to present a short video that was supposed to advertise a product. So what did we come up with? A lightsabers commercial! The idea was to show a huge war and how the lightsaber could help defend someone in such a dire situation. The movie went pretty much according to plan. However, during editing, it became clear it would be too hard to add soliders or droids fighting on the battle field. Hence Chad Troftgruben is left alone in the middle of the field to fight invisible enemies (hmmm, sounds familiar). A surprising little tid bit is that the movie was never presented for Justin's speech. On the night before the movie was due to be presented, Chad's computer (which is the computer the movie was edited on) had a small accident. Chad woke up to the smell of smoke and to his surprise, the power supply inside the computer blew out. It was impossible then to transfer the movie from the computer to a tape. Justin got an "A" for the effort though and the movie was released a month later once the computer got a new power supply and a few new scenes were added in.
