Glad you enjoyed the video. It really was a trip of a lifetime. Because the Emperor Penguin's colony is on sea ice, you need an ice breaker to go down to Antarctica to see them. Unfortunately, the Russian ice breaker we sailed on is being recalled to Russia to support their oil fields. I hope another ice breaker can be found so more people can see these amazing animals.

Thanks for the great comments. Actually this is a trailer for the full version, which runs about 25 minutes. I am looking for a place the post the full version.

It is sad that the chances to see the Emperor Penguins is rapidly diminishing. As far as I know, the only ship that goes that trip is going out of tourist service in Jan 2012.

Great documentary. albeit a little short, the content certainly delivered. lots of cute shots of the penguins, the journey there and back, the how and why. great stuff. =)
