I got Garrys Mod recently on Steam. Looking around, I noticed machinimas executed in Gmod. I thought to myself that if only it could be executed well, an RPG would look excellent within Garrys Mod. So, here's my execution of that idea.

It's just a test really. But if people encourage me to carry on, provided I improve, I'd be happy to continue this as a side project.

  • Another video made by a person unskilled with Source, and by extension Garry's Mod. Animations are very possible and easy.

  • @MrGryphian You're polite, aren't you. That, and look at the date, this was done 2 years ago. I'd literally got Garry's Mod like 10 days ago then. >_>

  • @AngelicWaffle Sorry I didn't lie and said this was cool, when it's clearly poorly done?

I don't care how long you had Gmod at the time... You made a video about it and uploaded it to Youtube, accept my dislike and move on. Don't take it like an attack, it's critism. Use it, and improve. Don't whine and make excuses why your poorly done video deserves attention.

  • @MrGryphian I don't need someone like you saying I need to improve this. I have much better things to do than to pay attention to someone who insults me and is hostile. You're a random nobody on the internet who one day decided "Hey, this person's video is pretty bad". Okay, so that's your opinion. Then you make a comment which REALLY got my back up and made me not likely to even consider listening to you.

Next time you make a comment, be more polite. As it is, you're just a troublemaker.

  • This is actually pretty interesting. With some smooth animations, you might be on to something here.

  • Yeah, but that is a problem in itself; You can move things around in real time, but they don't move their arms or legs. If I were to try and make a story out of this, any tension or suspense of disbelief could be lost from ragdolls flopping around uncontrollably.

If there is a better option than this, though, I'd like to know. Because this kind of animation doesn't cut it, and neither does real-time manipulation. Still, thanks for the comment.
