For a 16.5 ft boat running 90mph that thing looks way too solid. No chine walk, not even a lil bounce in the bow. Not saying the boat won't do 90, it just isn't doing 90 in this video

I think your 9 is upside down.

Put a gps on that boat. You'll find that they (gps) are heavy as hell. Lol.

that thing couldnt hit 90 going off a waterfall.

@swatunit4 I run 45ss tunnel....... pulleys for the win

@swatunit4 Hydraulic is heavier that's why they don't use it. Outboard hydraulic steering is safer and does not attach to fiberglass. You can always rip a motor off the transom, steering feedback isn't going to help you. By the time it happens you are already in deep shit. Just rig your boat as strong as you can.

not even close to 90

No worries about the pulley steering, but you need to trim this thing out properly. You're way too nose high, which might lead to a serious instability problem. If you upset that boat at all while going that speed (no way it's 90 mph), it's going to chine walk and quickly flip. Trim that thing!

upgrade your steering before someone dies. !! otherwise it seems to be a pretty cool boat.
Hey guys, they use pulley steering systems on F1 boats. This allows the driver to feel how much propeller torque is on the motor and hull. With a hydraulic system the driver is unable to feel how much torque is on the motor and hull, possibly leading to a capsize, or worse, ripping the hydraulic steering system out of the fibreglass.

Is that 90mph on paddle wheel, psi speedo or GPS?
Mine says 104mph on the wheel & 97mph on the psi sender in the leg so i borrowed a hand GPS off a friend and it said 87mph. (You can't trust those F*$%ING paddle wheels i tells ya)
